With an apprenticeship as a toolmaker, Martin started to learn his craft from scratch. In addition to occupation-accompanying further education he aquired a degree in production automation, which led him to a research stay at the renowned Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon University (USA). Not surprisingly, Martin then advanced rapidly from developer to project manager in globally distributed teams, development manager and organisational developer in the high-tech industry. He quenched his continuing thirst for knowledge with a master’s degree in innovation management. Before stepping into self-employment as a management consultant, Martin spent several years accompanying a company on its way from a start-up to the integration into a global corporation and held a wide variety of positions. He acted as Key Account Manager in the start-up phase and most recently took over responsibility for several locations as Senior Director Operations in a verticalised group. Agile project management has accompanied Martin for many years and across a wide range of corporate divisions – the ideal basis for his new role as STAGILE® Coach.
